Worshiping God

Who taught you how to;
  • wear your shirt?
  • button your shirt?
  • wear your trousers (short N long)?
  • wear socks and shoes/slippers/sandals?
  • comb your hair?
  • use fingers to eat, fork & spoon, chopsticks and etc?
  • shower?
  • stand or sit to urine?
  • wash/wipe after clearing your bowels through your anus?

All would answer, either parents or guardian. Many more things in life we were either taught by somebody or we learn by observing others, even how to Salat. The Quran teaches us in 2:83 - And remember We took a covenant from the children of Israel.... be steadfast in prayer; and give Zakat...... . So salat existed even before Prophet Muhammad and Jesus Christ. Salat as we know it today was given to Abraham who taught it to his children and they taught it to their children and so on. Quran 19:59 conforms that Salat was lost after some generations for the people of the book. Losing it involved changing it in every aspect.

PRAY FIVE TIMES A DAY
Does The Quran teaches us when to do the daily prayers? Many Muslims would immediately answer, NOOOO! The Quran does teaches us when to do the daily prayers.

Subuh, Zohor, Isyak - Quran 24:58 - ....Before the prayer of dawn, and when ye lay aside your raiment for the heat of noon, and after the prayer of night.....
Mahgrib - Quran 17:78 - Establish worship at the going down of the sun until the dark of night....
Asar - Quran 2:238 - Guard strictly your (habit of) prayers Especially the middle prayer, and stand before Allah in a devout (frame of mind).
Mahgrib, Subuh - Quran 11:114 - Establish worship at the two ends of the day and in some watches of the night....

How to perform salat (prayer) is divinely protected and passed on generation after generation from the time of Prophet Muhammad.
